happy user of the Pavoni PGB
I have been using my PGB for about 10 years; it works very well with no problems. A great virtue of the model I have (hope this is still true) is the ability to grind directly into the espresso basket, turning on the machine with simple pressure from the basket; this enables one to grind just the coffee needed with no reservoir to empty or clean, and more assurance that a minimum of old ground coffee will join that which is freshly ground.

Powerhouse
I tried this unit at a friend's house recently. It was strong, solid, and could really pulverize those beans. Too much for me to purchase, but I bring my whole beans next door to grind precisely to my taste. La Pavoni certainly does it right.

Italy's La Pavoni invokes a bygone era with this handsome machine. The hard-plastic hoppers and spout are sepia-toned, like old photographs of dignified men and women relaxing on a Ravello terrace, and burnished brass houses the grinder's electric motor. Good looks, however, don't overshadow the grinder's performance in delivering fresh, full-flavored ground coffee. First, pour up to 8 ounces of whole beans into the top hopper. Then turn a knob on the side to adjust grind from fine to coarse through nine finely calibrated settings. Press a button on the side, and coffee ground to your personal specifications spills into the removable front hopper. For grinding directly into a pot, remove the front hopper, place the pot beneath the spout, and press upward against a lever to activate the grinder. First rate grinder
First rate coffee grinder - seems not to heat coffee at at while grinding, and the range of grinds available is impressive. That said, grinding adjustments are tedious to make if switching from Moka (6) to Turkish coffee (1), for example, but the grinder has given reliable performance for over a year. 'Am very happy with purchase, though in honesty, I bought directly from the US importer in NYS, and not Amazon.

Great Product
I think it is unfortunate that the previous reviewer is rating this product with 1 star without actually using it. It is an Italian made grinder that is not only attractive but grinds a perfect grind for my LaPavoni PC-8. You can grind in to your doser or for larger amounts of coffee grind diectly in to the removable hoppper. It's quiet, too. Looks awesome on my countertop.
