The Geneva L
Previously, in my search for the ultimate "all-in-one" sound system, I purchased the B&W Zeppelin and Bose Sounddock 10 and put them head to head in my own home. The B&W zeppelin was the clear the winner of that comparison with clear natural sound that really brought out the beauty of recorded music. The Bose had more volume capability and slightly more bass in the lowest registers, but it struggled to bring out the tone, accuracy and depth of the Zeppelin and my refence system, consisting of Full range Dynaudio Towers and NAD amplification. Of course this led me to wonder if there were any other systems out there that could be better yet. This led to me to Geneva. The Geneva line of systems has been out for several years, but I had never listened to them before. Geneva has systems of various sizes ranging from S to XXL, and I went with one right in the middle, the L. Best single package iPod player/sound system
There need be no complaints about any aspect of this system, especially sound/bass.I play my, well-mastered/produced, CD's flat with bass/treble at "0"(listening to Dub Room Special right now)and they all sound great. With a powerful enough amplifier, bass & treble controls are fairly unnecessary, IMO.With each speaker driven with it's own 25W amp, there is plenty of power (some fine sounding systems do very wellwith 25W per channel!). It actually sounds best with the volume turned up to about 75. No objectionable distortion.I set my iPod equalizer to sound best with this system (an important step), which for my music is the "R&B" setting.Full dynamic range, iPod or CD/FM. Everything sounds great and it sounds great no matter the listening position.I took a chance with the red, not even sure if I'd like it. Very Impressed.
I must pass on my feelings about the GenevaSound L . I also stumbled upon the system whilst mixing an album in New York at 'Electric Lady'. I was immediately impressed by both the look and sound of the Geneva. At first I thought it could be a mono unit but was happy to hear that it was in fact a good stereo sound. The thing I like most about it is the frequency response. It's a crisp clear bright sound, but the bass response is still strong and defined. Its a fabulous overall tone and it's loud. I have been mixing music for over 20 years now (U2, Pearl Jam, Ozzy Osbourne, Tears for Fears etc) and I am not easily impressed ! I have bought many products through Amazon and yet this is the first time I have felt the urge to leave a review.If you are looking for natural studio reference quality sound reproduction with style and simplicity, you have now found it.True stereo sound from one beautifully designed enclosure and no wires!One remote control handles all functions.This unit plays CDs, I-Pods and I-Phones and will accept connection to all other manner of inputs. The only drawback is that the built in FM radio antenna does not receive strong stereo signals but why bother when you can play any world radio station through an I-Phone with a wi-fi connection and charge your phone at the same time. I have not switched on my expensive high-end music system since buying the Genevasound. The speaker enclosures are a wonder to hear and also look great.Very highly recommended.

OK, I'll admit my wife was not ecstatic when my sixteen-year-old son and I appeared at the door with this amazing stereo.We spoke quality, she saw red. We spoke piece of art, she saw red. We spoke sound, she saw red. When she heard it play she admitted it was the best stereo system we had ever owned, but ... "did it have to be red?" Our answer, "yes." This color announces that there is something special in the room and I can assure you that the Geneva XL gets noticed. Every single guest is drawn to it and insists on both seeing and hearing it in action. The XL does not disappoint. Everything is sexy and sleek, and simplicity reigns supreme. There are no clunky controls or panel of unnecessary knobs, just a stylish remote control that provides everything you need. The Geneva's sound is rich beyond expectation and crystal clear, no matter what the volume. At its peak, while the floors may throb, there is never distortion.We would definitely buy another...

The Thunderbox Rules!
I've had my GenevaSound XL about a month now and I've never once regretted plopping down two grand for this ultimate iPod accessory. I first tried a Bose 321 system and sent it back due to a lack of base response. After receiving the Geneva, I never looked back. This little gem will ROCK! We have dubbed it the "Thunder Box" , and all my neighbors agree. We bought a small solid oak table and my husband installed casters on the legs so that we can simply roll the unit from room to room. Sounds great out on the back porch. We play the thing at max volume and have never had it distort. I was surprised to find that the Stereo separation is present and accounted for just as the advertising states. The Thunder Box will rattle your spine! My only complaint, and a small one at that, is that there is no "fast forward" or reverse once a song is started. However, the benefits far outweigh this small inconvenience. Yes, it's expensive. But if you've got the bucks, go for it. You won't be...
