Great Swing for Travel
We have a full size swing and our daughter loves it. I purchased this swing as a secondary swing so I could move her from room to room--she prefers to swing over her bouncy seat and likes to be with us all the time. I purchased a second swing to leave with my sister, who watches her while I'm at work. So far, it is great for comforting her and quieting her down enough to start the sleepy process and she's fallen asleep in it once or twice. It was super easy to put together and has been a great addition to our household. I have also gone to visit family and brought the swing along for her. It was great! Top to learn more

I'm one of those horrible moms that lets her baby take every nap in the swing. :) we have the my little lamb cradle and swing (which i'm pretty sure was sent from heaven), but medical issues have caused us to have to spend lots of time at my parents house and our big swing was NOT going to go back and forth with us. So, we bought this little swing. I LOVE it. I was worried that some of the other swings wouldn't recline far enough and my baby wouldn't be able to fall asleep them, so I bought this one because I thought it looked like it would lay him back pretty far. He loves it and sometimes sleeps for 2 hours in it. (some of the other little swings i read about had timers that made them shut off after an hour...this would not be cool!) This one will go on forever :) He is 4 months and weighs 13 pounds and we use it on the lowest speed setting. I think it goes plenty fast, but of course I'm wanting him to sleep.The only things I don't like:-the little thing that hangs...

Fisher-Price Swing Seat
Our three month old son has loved this swing since he came home from the hospital. He can work himself into a loud fuss that no food, rocking, diaper changes, temperature changes, etc. can calm, then quickly calm himself to sleep after being placed in the swing for a few short minutes.In regards to the earlier review, our swing does vary significantly in speed and rate of swing from lowest to highest settings.One note of caution: during assembly of the swing body, it is easy to over-tighten the screws. In an attempt to ensure that the seat was securely assembled, I tightened a screw completely thorough one of the interlocking plastic seat pieces.We fully endorse the product.

One of the best baby products I own!
I have a small home so I did not have an option of getting a big swing. I registered for this and have been using it successfully with my little one for two months (I have not even had to change the batteries yet). Now that I have it, I cannot imagine having anything else (i.e., a large stationary swing and separate bouncer), regardless of my house size. One of the things that I love about this is that it is portable - I can even move it around when my daughter is in it. I have moved it from the kitchen table, to the back deck, to my bedroom, to the living room....wherever I go in the house I can move it so that I can see her. The other great thing is that if she gets fussy when it's swinging, I can switch it immediately to vibrating. I can't imagine having to take a fussy baby out of it and move her to a different seat just to see if she wants the vibrations.Some people have complained that the swing is too fast. If you just swing it without a baby in it, it seems...

Sanity Saver!
This swing is a lifesaver, it has preserved my sanity many, many times. My son did not like to be held when he slept, he doesn't like to be bothered when he gets sleepy. He prefers to be layed down and fall asleep on his own and cuddle his blanket. My son had terrible tummy aches when he was first born due to infant reflux and he cried anytime you would lay him down to sleep or pick him up to console him, so when he had a tummy ache and wanted movement but not to be held while he slept this swing was perfect. And also it kept propped up which is a must if your child has reflux.It is small and doesn't take up much room at all, so it is perfect if you are like me and have a limited amount of space. It is portable so it was great when I wanted to move from room to room while picking up or taking a bath. I could just fold it up and take it with me and he would be perfectly content. Good for smaller babies
I've used this swing for my daughter since she was about a month old. It worked great for us in the beginning, sometimes it was the only thing that would put her to sleep if she had gas. It has many features I prefer to the full-size swing in the same collection- it uses energy more efficiently, the seat cradles the baby more, its portable. However, I don't see how this is supposed to work for a bigger baby- my daughter is now 6 months and about 18lbs, and it barely moves even with fresh batteries on the highest setting. It also creaks, and the seat pad dips so low she almost touches the ground. Also she is getting close to being able to sit on her own, and when she pulls her head & shoulders up, it comes to a complete stop.I would still recommend this swing as it doesn't cost nearly as much as a full-sized one, just don't expect it to be useful all the way up to the maximum weight limit. We got this swing as a gift for my baby shower… We did register for it, along with the Fisher Price Kakhi Bouncer. We don’t use it that often since my son likes to be on the floor more but it definitely was nice when we did use it. Sometimes it helps putting him to sleep and sometimes he just likes sitting in it so he can see whats going on around the house. It is so wobbly, and when my son is in it, his head literally shakes, thats how bad it is. The first time I noticed it, I thought my son was having a seizure, that’s how bad the shaking was. But in the end I’m glad we didn’t spend more on a swing, it works for us, baby likes it and it was fairly priced. I emailed Fisher Price, they advised me to call them and have it shipped back out to them and they would re-fund me. Because it was a gift, I don’t have the box or reciept.
