Make sure the water and ice from your refrigerator is as clean and fresh tasting as possible by replacing its water filter. This Whirlpool water filter is used in Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Maytag side-by-side refrigerators with quarter-turn filter access in the base grille.

It's NSF-certified to reduce particulates (class II), lead, mercury, and more. (The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water filter are not necessarily in all users' water.) While it effectively removes contaminants from your water and ice, this filter also lowers the taste and odor of chlorine while retaining beneficial fluoride.

Note that this water filter does not reduce the amount of cysts in your water.

For the highest quality water and ice, your refrigerator's water filter needs to be changed over a period of time as its effectiveness at cleaning the water is reduced. For optimal results, you should replace this refrigerator water filter every 6 months to ensure clean, safe drinking water and ice.

Your refrigerator will even remind you when to change its filter, turning on an indicator light found near the water dispenser. Changing the filter is easy--just locate the old filter, turn the filter one-quarter of a turn to remove and replace with the new filter.

Replacing Your Water Filter

For side-by-side refrigerators with quarter-turn filter access in the base grille, follow these instructions for replacing your filter:

Rotate the cap counterclockwise to a vertical position, then pull.
Remove the filter cap by sliding it right or left. Set aside cap. Discard old filter.
Remove the packaging and O-ring covers from the new filter. Slide the filter cap back onto the end. Align the ridge on the filter with the ridge on the cap to make certain it is centered.
Hold the assembled cap and filter unit with the handle in the vertical position and push the new filter cartridge into the opening of the base grille until it stops. Rotate the cartridge cap clockwise to a horizontal position.
Flush the water system until a total of 3 gallons (12 L) has been dispensed.

Great savings in the 3-pack
These are the standard filters used in many refrigerators like my Whirlpool. They filter all the water used in the ice maker and the in-door water dispenser just as you would expect them to do.The 3-pack of these is a great maoney saving costing only about $5 more than buying two of them individually.They only rate about a 4 in the star system because they never last as long as Whirlpool says they should. The owner's manual says about 5-6 months with the sort of use we put them to, and the "change me" light comes on at about the 5 month time, and the water flow through begins to diminish about the same time. But, changing the filter at the 4-month point keeps the water taste top notch. Waiting that extra month or so gives you water that isn't as clean tasting.Ah, well. At least you save money buying in bulk.

Good filter
Standard replacement filter for fridge. Works fine. Lasts 6 months. It could be cheaper but it is convenient and improves the taste of water for drinking and coffee. Shipment wasn't super quick but it wasn't bad either.

This thermometer is exactly what I Needed. My fridge seemed to be all over the place and we had a few gallons of milk go bad before the use by date. Works like it should
I bought a pair of these thermometers for a refrigerator and freezer as backup to a digital wireless thermometer. The analog and digital thermometers track indicated temperature quite closely. I like the large size which makes them easy to read. Considering the price, I'm very pleased with these Taylor thermometers.

Replaces Kenmore ADQ36006102 filter
Just FYI with the review title... This is an exact replacement for the Kenmore version. Heck even the same photo of the straw sipping lady on the front. My french door Kenmore "Elite" was actually made by (gasp) the same plant that makes LG refrigerators so no big shock. The Kenmore brand filter is 50% more at Sears for some reason... The replacement reminder on the fridge is set for a specific volume +/- and not the actual filter condition or flow, so if you have a decent water supply it can easily go through 2+ cycles without a drop in water quality (in my opinion). Works fine, and as clean and lightly chlorinated my city was is, I may not bother to replace again.

As promised
The replacement filter for our LG French Door refrigerator arrived quickly, was the correct one, and was received in perfect condition. The price was well below what I could have purchased it for locally, even with the shipping cost added on.I was apprehensive to replace the old filter, as it was the first time that it needed to be replaced. Installation instructions were included with the filter, and I had no problem removing the old one and replacing it with the new one.I plan on continuing to purchase our replacement filters through Amazon.

Filter Substitute?
After reading and doing some research, I thought the ADQ36006101 / LT700P is a replacement for the ADQ36006102. It is NOT! I thought I would save about $15 to install it in my Kenmore refrigerator. Well after comparing the two, they looked like a good replacement. I installed it and threw the old filter in the garbage. The next day the filter leaked some water. Hence, I went out and bought the ADQ36006102 filter. I compared again and noticed the tip of the ADQ36006102 is slightly longer than the ADQ36006101. I installed the ADQ36006102 and not water leak problems.

It seems to be the exact filter that the fridge came with, but it also came with a vinyl removable sticker that has the month you bought it and the month it needs to be replaced. Very helpful!Shipped SUPER fast!! I usually get things in two or three days - this came the very next day! I priced this elsewhere, too, and Amazon was the best deal (if only by a few dollars).

Quick, Easy, Quality
This part is very easily installed in your refrigerator and lasts exactly as long as it says. The whirlpool fridge I own suggested the filter to be changed every 6 months. It was almost 6 months to the day we received the fridge to when it indicated the filter needed replaced. We got a notice for about 2 weeks prior to this that the filter was nearing time to be replaced, but it finally said to replace it almost right at the 6 month mark. All in all I'm happy with this part and the price I got it for on Amazon

Water tastes...different
Water tastes salty post installation. Water did not taste like that with previous factory installed filter. My tap water does not taste salty unfiltered. Probably would not buy again. Would purchase filter next time from an authorized GE dealer.**UPDATE - Seller contacted me after this review and offered to send me a replacement filter, free of charge and free shipping. It arrived VERY quickly (within 3 days of the email). New filter works great, so the 1st filter problem must have just been a fluke. I would order from this seller again. GE MSWF Refrigerator Water Filter
I live in the Tucson, AZ area and our water is very hard. I test my water regularly out of the tap and it shows 240. I test the water out of my R/O system and it tests at 22. The water coming out of my ref with the GE filter which comes from the R/0 system is 20. I have the cleanest water in our neighborhood. The only issue I had was the GE filter took a couple of months to get back to "normal" testing range. When I fist installed it, the water tested at 40. Now that it's back to "normal" I'm pleased. Also the install was easy - reading the simple directions took longer that the install. You just twist off the old one and twist on the new one and then run about 5 gallons through the system.
