Perfect!
I purchased this belt for my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. I had no idea Chevy would put 2 serpentines on a newer generation vehicle. This smaller belt fits the A/C system only. It works like a champ and fits perfectly. I would recommend the Gatorback belts to EVERYONE! As an installation side note, you have to remove the air intake and larger serpentine to get to this "bottom of the motor" mounted unit.... way to engineer that one GM!

Sceptical at 1st, but it worked!
Ordered for my 2003 Yukon with the 5.3L engine. I usually buy OEM from the dealer but thought I give this Goodyear belt a try. Package said it was for a Subaru when it arrived, but the Amazon site said it fit my Yukon. It did! This is for the AC which is a smaller belt than the main serpentine that runs everything else.I suspect this belt also works as the main belt on a Subaru.Had to pull a lot of plastic shrouds off to get to the thing, then remove the main belt. The inside of the belt looks funny and I understood why it's called gatorback, but no issues once installed.

great product, great price
I have learned that Goodyear gatorback belts are about the only serpentine belt that doesn't give you a chirp or whine while running. I'm impressed.

Awesome S-Belt Tool!
I researched probably 10 different brands of s-belt tools and finally decided to go for the Gear Wrench 3680 mainly because I wanted one with a ratcheting feature, case and sockets/crows foot. Plus this item was about mid-range with the cost and I didn't want to spend more than $50-60.The only complaint I have is that the red handled tool is actually a bit smaller than I would have liked, but once you add the ratcheting extension it's as long as any other s-belt tool I found. The sockets/adapters fit well and you shouldn't have a problem getting the tool into the tightest spaces.I would recommend this s-belt tool to anyone!***UPDATE***I've used this tool a bunch of times now and all I can say is "WOW"! Excellent tool...many uses...great price! Top to learn more

I was looking at several serpentine belt tools before purchasing the Gear Wrench ratcheting tool, the ratcheting feature is nice and the tool is well made; it also comes in a molded plastic case keeping the set together.I would recommend the Gear Wrench serpentine belt tool, it's worth the extra money.PS.Corpus Christi, TX Top to learn more

Definintely Buy again!
I bought this belt for my 2003 Chevy Tahoe with the 5.3L engine and 145A Alternator. Make sure you know which alternator you have BEFORE purchasing this belt. The 105A alternators use a slightly shorter belt. It fits perfectly, doesn't make any noise and works great! You will also need the smaller for the A/C system on these vehicles. My 145 Amp Alternator has a 145A stamped on the side, visible from the drivers side. You could also look for the old belt part number on the existing belt and order accordingly. Top to learn more
Best belts.
Doesn't slip when others do. These belts last much longer than the other belts I have had in the past. Good buy for your vehicle. Top to learn more
The chirp is gone!
I installed this belt to replace a cheap-o Duralast from which I was getting an annoying chirping sound under the hood, and the chirp is gone. The Gatorback is advertised as "The Quiet Belt", and that it is! It was a perfect fit, and it runs smoothly and quietly. For reference, I installed it on a 2004 GMC Yukon (V8, 5.3L) with the 145A alternator. I also installed the on my A/C system, and both belts run like champions. Bottom line is: you won't be disappointed in the performance of these belts. Top to learn more

Basic things about Replacing serpentine belt on 1997 audi a6 quattro My bmw 5 series is overheating and the radiator is full of water Went on a trip for about 30min and that was fine then all of a sudden the light came on and it was over heating i... Personally i would ask your local parts store if you can get a serpentine belt for the 1997 sable that does not have ACand do not spin it at is cheaper than replacing that AC compressor again. They are the Saturn BAS models that have an oversized alternator that can act like a motor and start the engine via the serpentine belt. What this does is makes it an Atkinsonish cycle engine IE the compression and expansion ratios are not the same due to the intake valves being held open farther into the compression stroke than normal the engine has a 131 expansion ratio but only... My serpentine belt is VERY bad. Do all I need is a rachet drive to loosen the tensioner to get the belt off after I pull plastic shroud off engine. The ac compressor has died causing the belt to seize. How does the engine in a hybrid work How does the engine work in a hybrid car such as a Toyota Prius to run off the battery in the car or what ever they i am extremely unversed on this topic. For the engine 1NZFXE itself in the 19972009 Prius it is a normal spark ignition engine with high compression pistons and an intake camshaft ground for more duration than normal IOW it is the engine from the EchoYaris 1NZFE slightly modified. My question is can i run the car without ac coolant even if i dont run the ac without damaging the new part til i can get it charged should i even connect the electrical to the ac until i am ready to charge it and just let it free wheel. It took all my money to buy the part and now i cant afford to get the system recharged.

Other than that, all the car has ever had for additional work, according to Frey, is a few coolant and transmission fluid changes, a new serpentine belt, new spark plugs, and a pair of taillight bulbs, plus a few recalls. The initial concern for hybrid
