Great cables - and with Amazon Prime shipping, a great value
These SATA cables are 20" long and have well-molded, sturdily attached connectors on both ends. In other words, these are just what you expect SATA cables to be. Two things make these cables a stand out value. The low price is the first. Go into a big box store and you'll pay a lot more. Second, Amazon Prime shipping which brought these cables to me by second day air. While other vendors offer free shipping, Amazon Prime gives you free 2nd Day air on practically everything, including small inexpensive items like these cables. Great value on both.Jerry

Excellent cables, no annoying locking tab.
These cables work great. They don't have a locking tab, but that's an advantage to me - I nearly damaged my motherboard trying to remove a different cable with a poorly-made lock. These are the only cables I use now. A+

Excellent, Cheap and Functional
Cheap and functional, both work exactly as they should. This, when accounting the Amazon Prime eligibilty, made it the cheapest deal for me for SATA cables.I will say, I recently recieved some different ones with an ASUS motherboard (it was open box, so I didn't think it would include them, hence me buying these, but for a good surprise it did), and they include a clipping mechanism that makes them far more secure, so that may be something you want to look at. However, I've never once had an issue with a SATA cable popping out, other than yanking cords around while installing components; all the others I've had were exactly the same as this one, so I don't think its much of a concern, just thought I'd share if you constantly tinker in your build and it irritates you. I put these to good use in a different build, and they worked fine.

Works as intended, but be wary of the direction of the right angle end.
As the title suggests. However, be mindful of where you're using the cable in your computer. The right angle end of the SATA cable is built in a way where the cable will be directed downwards when inserted properly. So theoretically, if you're inserting the right angle end of the cable into a hard drive that's placed in the bottom of your computer and faces the computer cover (such as the Dell XPS 420), then the cable will need to loop upwards towards the other SATA insert, which will create tension to the wiring when placing the cover back in place. That's not the manufacturer's fault, of course, but again, be careful.

Note the 90 degree plug
When buying this cable, note that one end has a 90 degree angled plug. This can be either an advantage or problem depending on the available space in your machine. In my case it made connecting two adjacent cables somewhat challenging.

Just what I needed

Simple and Good
Not really a whole lot to say about a data cable. The cables are just a s advertised - SATA 20" data cables. I've been using them for about a month now. One for a hard drive and one for a DVD drive. They work. The transfer speed appears constant with posted specifications. I do have another data cable from a different manufacture and I can not tell the difference in speed (I doubt anyone could). The plugs slide on and hold like they should.I gave them five stars because the cables work as expected without any issues. Recommended.

It worked!
The cable worked as advertised. Buyers do need to make note that the connector configuration makes is go 'up' rather than the conventional 'down' once its plugged.For the price, I went ahead and bought it. My fix was to route it behind the drive so there is not kinks. It worked since the cord is long enough.

Just OK - go with alternative
The cable itself is good quality and works fine.However, potential buyers should take note, as one of the prior reviews points out (I wish I had seen it before purchasing) - the right angle connector is upside down. The notch forces you to route the cable from the other direction, opposite of what everyone would expect. This means it may not allow you to use what your case provides for securing cables (definitely with Dell cases). I don't understand why a manufacturer would do this.Since SATA cables are commodity items, I'd recommend going with some other.

This one did the trick
I had purchased a right angle StarTech cable from another vendor almost two years ago. I wanted to use it to connect a second hard drive in my Dell Dimension E510. It did not work because of a clearance issue, and the second drive, while installed in the drive bay, was not usable. I happened to come across this cable on Amazon, and noted that several reviewers said it worked in the E510. I decided to take a chance, so I ordered it. It was delivered to me two days later. I noted at once that the right angle connector was significantly shorter than the other StarTech RA connector, so I was very encouraged. I installed it today, and after a reboot, the drive was recognized by XP as new hardware. When I went through this process two years ago it took me a while to diagnose the case clearance issue. Thanks to the reviewers who specifically mentioned the E510. I wouldn't have ordered the cable without that information.

I bought the intel brand (even though its more expensive) because research showed intel had a much lower failure rate than other major brands. We opted to replace the hardrive with this intel ssd instead. This new ssd will extend the useful life of her computer by a year or two.
