An excellent choice!
Forgive the length of this review - it is intended to be what I was looking for (comprehensive information) before I bought my own.If you're paying attention and have the right wrench, it shouldn't take more than about 5 or 10 minutes to assemble. Adjusting the blades takes another five minutes. Then you can start playing with it. I say playing because this isn't work. It's too much fun to be work. Strange, but true.I learned quickly that the ease with which it is pushed through and cuts grass depends proportionately on how much of that grass's height you cut at one time. Reviews and research say that you should never cut more than 1/3rd the grass's height at a time. They tell you it's for the health of the grass. It is also for the health of the person pushing the mower. Get the mower set too low, and it's not very easy (or fun) to push. Get it set too high, and it's super easy, but nothing happens. Get it set just right, and there's light...

I enjoy cutting the grass again
I've been using this mower for a few months and so far I've been loving it. No noise and no more fumes. Its nice to be able to cut the grass while talking on the phone or listening to music. I can cut the grass early in the morning before it gets hot without disturbing the neighbors. The mower adjusts from 1" to 4" so I can cut my fescue at 3-3.5" which is higher that my old gas mower could cut. This mower weighs around 35lbs or so, which makes it much heavier than other reel mowers on the market. However the flywheel and the extra heft allows you to easily push it through thick grass. It doesn't produce that perfect cut like a gas mower, so you will have a few stray blades that didn't get clipped, but it cuts the blades so cleanly that its almost like someone cut the grass with a pair of scissors :) I'm amazed at how well it cuts without stressing the grass. My old gas mower is forsale on craigslist and I don't think I'll ever own another gas mower. My yard is roughly 1/4...

Best mower I have used
I have had several reel mowers (scott's, etc.) and found the Fiskar momentum to be the best by far. I have used it for two seasons and it continues to roll easily and cuts evently with little effort. It is heavier than other reel mowers and slightly less maneuverable due to the 4-wheel design. It is perfect for my small, flat yard and my grass is very healthy. Highly recommended.

Good, Dependable Reel Mower
We've gone through one season of lawn mowing and our "reel mower" has been great. The mower cuts the grass, easily corners, and works exactly as the writeup said it would. My 10 and 13 year old sons can push it, they've had NO PROBLEMS with it flipping or sliding on the grass - even when we came back from vacation to find VERY tall grass to cut. Next spring I will buy a grass catcher to go with our mower.

Please temper your expectations
Keep in mind that this mower is 14" wide. Which is not much more than one foot wide. So if you have a "real" lawn just imagine how many trips back and forth you will have to do across your lawn. If you live in anything larger than a townhouse this is too small. If you really do not want to purchase a gas or electric mower, look at the larger push mowers (18 or 20in) but not this one.If you have a small area to mow, this is a great option. I bought this for my 110lb girlfriend who has no trouble pushing this around her tiny fenced in yard which is probably 15ft by 15ft. It is easy to manuever around and only takes a few minutes to mow the grass. She has an electric trimmer which she uses along the fence.As others have mentioned, it doesn't cut through twigs and branches very well unless you get some momentum going. And it does tend to leave random blades of grass sticking up that it doesn't like to cut. These blades are usually longer than the rest of the grass...

Great Inexpensive Way to Workout
This was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. It was easy to put together, just make sure that if you have small hands like me you get someone to really tighten the bolts good though. It's light, cuts grass like a dream, however it doesn't edge. Also it's a nice little workout, and it's easy to store. I'm diabetic and since using this. I've had to lower my insulin intake. So I highly reccomend this to anyone who wants a little cardio workout.

Will Change Your Idea of Mowing
This summer, sick of my dirty, smelly, loud gas-powered mower, I decided to purchase a reel mower. As someone who considers himself to be environmentally friendly, I no longer felt comfortable using a polluting machine on my lawn. At the same time, I didn't want to turn lawn mowing into a huge, difficult task. After researching every model on the market, I decided I would give the Scotts 2000-20 reel mower a try. My idea of lawn mowing has completely changed. What used to be a tedious, annoying task is now pleasant and relaxing, due to the ease of use and functionality of this mower. Out of the box, it is very clear how to put this mower together, and it should take no more than about 30 minutes to get the assembly done. Concerned about reel mowers? Don't be.
I own a John Deere 4.5 hp 22" gas-powered (4-stroke) self-propelled mulching mower. I think it retailed for about $600-700 ten years ago. It's performed very well, but it needs annual service; it needs to be cleaned, and it clogs if the grass is damp or too tall.I'm not sure what made me look at reel mowers on Amazon. Maybe it was wondering how I was going to transport my gas-powered mower to John Deere for service this year. Maybe it was my surprise when I saw I'd have to buy gas twice in one season this year. Safer, quieter mower. Definitely worth a consideration.
I just eagerly put my reel mower together, having spent much time researching whether I should get one or not. The reviews on here were especially helpful. In short, I'm glad I bought it. Pluses:1. Safer: no flying rocks or other projectiles, your kids won't sneak up on you and get extremities caught in the blade the way they do with gas mowers. Great Mower with a Great Engine!
When it was time to replace my 11 year-old Craftsman, there were a few things I knew I wanted (and a few things I didn't want) in my next mower. I wanted a quality engine with plenty of power and good over-all construction. I wanted it to have a mulching feature, and I prefer the taller rear wheels.I didn't want my mower to be self-propelled. My 1/3 acre yard is fairly flat and easy to mow. I don't have any trouble pushing a mower around. Self-propelled mowers cost more, weigh more, and have more parts to break. But my biggest reason is you get less power to the blade because the motor is also powering the drive wheels. Just a plain ol' push mower for me, thanks!The Basics:The Husqvarna 7021P is a 21" push mower with an excellent 160cc GCV Honda engine. I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but sometime between the purchase of my last mower and this new one, the old standard of horsepower ratings has been replaced by a new "gross torque" rating...

Durable, powerful, great value
I bought my Husqvarna 21 inch push mower with the 5.5HP Honda engine in 2003. I mow about 1 acre total of non-irrigated weeds on hilly rough terrain. I beat this mower up year after year and it's never failed to start right up and offer up plenty of power through tall grass. This year (2010) during the first mowing of the season I ran over a small tree stump and bent the crankshaft, even doing the work myself it will probably be too expensive to justify repairing a 7 year old mower but I will definitely replace it with the same thing when I get a new one.6/11/2010 Follow-up: I was able to find a crankshaft online inexpensively which allowed me to try to do the repair myself. I am happy to report that the mower re-build project was a success and my Honda engine is purring along happily once again, may I get many more seasons of use from this very durable lawn mower.

What a great lawnmower!With a little more then 3 hours break-in time on the Honda Engine , I think it's safe to say that I got a good one. Great mowing experience!
I have converted from a gas-powered mower, and do not regret it. This thing is clean, quiet, and the grass looks great. The catcher works pretty well, too, although it is not that big.My biggest surprise was that it is actually fairly easy to push. I was expecting a workout, but it's actually more like a walk in the park....Two thumbs up!

Good value for the money
I have a small yard that's 8 ft wide by 30 ft long. With the smaller size of this mower, I have no trouble. It went together easily and works like a charm. It's not very good on grass longer than 3 inches though. I had to trim areas down with my weedeater first before I could use it. As long as I cut the grass each week, I have no problems.

Great value for the price
I'm very happy with my mower. It took a little while to assemble, but nothing about it was complicated. It's so quiet; I love that I can mow at any time of day without disturbing anyone. Caveats: the instructions warn you about sticks - if you get a lot in your lawn, rake before mowing - they do get caught. Getting them out is easy but blows your momentum. Also, you do have to mow fairly frequently because it's no good on long grass. Keep your edger handy after a lot of good rain.That said, this is a terrific tool. Effective, easy to lift and maneuver, and more fun, in my opinion, than a powered mower. I recommend it.
