Product Description

This plywood is a functional grade material composed of birch from parts of Russia. The Baltic birch is graded as a B-BB, which means that one face, B, will be a whole face, no splices, have no patches (plugs that are used to cover defects) but may contain knot pattern or mineral streaks. The other face, BB, and the inner plies will contain patches and tight and not so tight knots. Baltic Birch Plywood is an excellent material for cabinet backs, drawer sides and bottoms, as well as jigs and fixtures and scroll saw work that will be painted. Top to learn more

A very good combination of science and art. The photography attracts you to the projects, then the content makes it possible for you to complete them. The author has done an excellent job of developing interesting and useful projects, and provided the instruction/direction that will make it possible to create a fine finished product. Even I, with limited skill & knowledge, will produce work to be proud of.

Awesome Design and How To book
This book is filled with unique and distinct projects while also providing enough information to build the the pieces. It is filled with great photos and illustrations that guide the reader on the production of the project. I thumbed through the book and immediately found several projects I would like to build. The author put together a great mix of furniture, utility, and fun projects. Plywood is often thought of as a mundane building material but this book really highlights the strength and beauty of plywood.

The product is wonderful, the customer service is world class
I'm doing some 'touch up' on the cabinetry in the kitchen and needed some finish-grade plywood, but unusually thin. I found just what I needed from Rockler Woodworking and Hardware (through AMAZON)... 1/8" thick white birch veneer core plywood in 24"X32" panels. When the order arrived I took note of three things.... 1. The order was on time, 2. The finish grade plywood was beautiful, BUT, 3. One of the pieces was cracked (even though packaged well,... the delivery system was obviously harsh on this shipment). I called customer service at Rockler and the lady I spoke with was extremely courteous and concerned. She told me to do 'whatever' with the cracked piece (use what I could, scrap it, ....literally 'whatever'.) She then said another piece would be sent out as a replacement ASAP,...no charge of course. The replacement arrived in perfect shape (extra care in packaging of this single piece made a good difference) and I finished my project on time. So here's yet another...
