Great for getting outa pickles!
My friends and I were playing baseball and we accidentally hit a Babe Ruth signed baseball into someones yard, which was occupied by a massive dog that ate objects and children. These shoes gave me that extra burst of speed needed to retrieve the ball and escape the yard before the beast could catch me. He jumped the fence though and chased me around the neighborhood, through a movie screen and under a giant cake. I can honestly say without these shoes, I never would have had the opportunity to play for the Dodgers. I highly recommend these shoes!

Better than Chucks!
I've been a fan of Converse Chuck Taylor "Chucks" for years and always have several pairs on the go but these PF Flyers, I tell you, are even better and I am definitely a new fan now. Just like the Chucks, they are the 'old school' high-top style with the canvas uppers, rubber toe cap, rubber bumpers and rubber sole. I bought the navy ones but will also get some in the other colours, too. They are incredibly comfortable to wear because of the built-in arch supports inside the sole which distribute your weight more evenly than a regular pair of sneakers. I wear these everywhere except the office and get compliments all the time. The canvas and the rubber have a bit of a strong smell which offends some but, personally, I kind of like it. Reminds me they are on my feet! These sneakers are definitely NOT to be missed! And, more over, you can't do any better at this price.

This "old" classic is superior to most modern shoes!
I was so surprised when I put these shoes on for the first time - they lace up smoothly and fit comfortably! I have trouble finding shoes that fit, and these are great! Most shoes I try on are either poorly made (no support) or so ugly that I wouldn't have them on my feet. These PF Flyers are easily as good as shoes I have bought that cost twice as much. Best of all, they look classy on your feet. Try them!

I have conquered Hercules...
I got these shoes a few months ago. They are amazing! I'm not usually one for the low cut canvas shoes, but I already have high top Chucks (Converse), so I decided to roll with these. And I must tell you they are great! I'll be purchasing these in the high top version soon to replace my Chucks. They are more comfortable and provide a classic look that most people don't have, but definitely want when they see them. I must also say that they are super comfy! The insoles they come with are a little loose inside, but they don't slide around. And they make the shoe super comfortable to wear. I have flat feet and some shoes bother me. These are not one of them. They fit true to size and are super durable. You can't beat them. I highly recommend them. Because of these shoes I have now been able to out run the neighborhood dog, Hercules. Ok... that's not true. We don't even have a neighborhood dog. But these shoes make me feel like it would be possible if we did.

Solid shoes, with some quality issues...
What young man hasn't seen the Sandlot and dreamt of Benny's shoes, guaranteed to make a kid run faster and jump higher? When I finally tracked down PF flyers, I was happy to discover Amazon sold my size (although Benny's were technically the high top version!). I got a half size too big on the first round, but was able to order a new pair with the half size smaller the next day. I'm normally a 9.5 in most of my shoes, but had to get a 9 here. 9.5 were too loose, with 9 being a bit on the tighter side after a long work day. I'd love a 9.25 =o) Something to keep in mind when ordering.All in all, I think they are superior to similar Converse. More comfortable on the whole, and I think more stylish. They look great with jeans, khakis, shorts, etc... I've gotten lots of compliments from both men and women.Cons: At least with my pair, the inner heel has already started peeling away on both shoes. The rubber sides have begun to peel away from the canvas as well in...

My second pair. Love them. Sloppy quality control on the green heel label.
First off, they are made in China, should you wonder.This is my second pair of PFs, and I love them. In fact, I may not buy another pair of shoes from another company. BUT, my one gripe about this pair is that the green square "PF" logo on the heel is cut badly. The white "PF" is nearly cut in half. Not a big deal, but where is the quality control here?There is not much to say beyond the fact that they are made from excellent materials and the construction of them is top-notch (beside the heel label thing I mentioned.)The insole is very comfortable. If you are used to Converse, you will be in for a pleasurable surprise when you put these on: no longer do you have to put up with a flat, uncomfortable and unsupportive insole. The PF Flyer insole is contoured to your foot and will make you wonder why you kept buying those Converse shoes. They're not what I expected
I bought the PF Flyers Center Lo Sneaker (color: Natural) since I had been wanting this color for a long time. The shoe is cheaper than the natural color converse low top and the vans original low top BUT they do not fit as well as those two shoes. I've owed converse and vans and they fit around the ankle perfectly. This shoe on the other hand doesn't. I put them on and don't feel there's much protection and support for the ankles. However, they are comfortable and have more trust in the high tops than the lo sneaker itself. I own both lo and high top pf flyers and the high tops are much more supportive. Overall, nice looking shoes except for the ankle thing.
