I just got the paddle, and here are some details of it:1. It weighs 3.5 pounds, (so, this is not subjetive info; I read reviews here, some say heavy, some say superlight. now, you can determine. I am a male, 5ft10in tall/160 pounds/strong swimmer, and it feels a little bit heavy for a paddle in my opinion. So, if you are a regular female, it might be a concern.)2. The length of mine is 8 feet and 3/4 of an inch.(I guess there is a small variation for each one, but sure it is a long sweet one. My kayak is an OldTown Dirigo 120, the greatest width of the hull is 28 inches, so it needs a 96-inch paddle.)3. No Regrets!
We have had our pedal boat for a few months now and we have no regrets. It's light weight enough the my husband and I can pick it up by ourselves yet large enough that we can esily put 4 grown people in it. We could even fit another smaller child. It's easy to keep clean. I wipe it out very quickly when we are done with it and throw the cover over it. The cover lifts on one corner when it rains heavily but it still keeps all the other junk out. The free shipping was the deal breaker over other boats. The shipping was extremely expensive on other boats. It's very well made and easy to ready for the water. We'll be enjoying our pedal boat for many years to come. I wish we hadn't waited so long to get one.

After searching the internet far and wide we purchased our pedal boat from Amazon because the price was the lowest and on top of that FREE SHIPPING! Our boat arrived in perfect condition and exactly on the day it was scheduled.We've taken it out on a couple different lakes and we are so happy with it. The canopy is great for keeping people out of the sun, even if it's just your upper body, depending on the angle of the sun. The boat is very sturdy, does not feel "tippy", and it's so lightweight, it's easy for us to load in the back of the truck with just two people. When it says it will seat 5 people, it's no joke, especially with the adjustable back-to-back seats. We use the storage compartment in the back for our sunscreen and bug spray or some snacks for the kids. Excellence in Service
The pedal boat we ordered from Amazon made by KL Industries is an excellent product just as we expected. The price from Amazon was the best we could find on the net. During delivery, we found some scratches to the surface edge of the boat created by the delivery truck, called Amazon and we were immediately refunded fairly for it directly to our card. We could have returned the product at no cost but chose to keep it since the damage was slight and in no way affected functionality. Modify slightly......then it's great!
Having read other reviews stating that the cover doesn't stay on or protect very well against rain, I modified it a little to see if it would work better. All I did was buy some velcro fasteners (any home improvement store, target, Kmart-sometimes comes in a roll), I attached the rough velcro ends to the under edge of the boat and the "fuzzy" sides to the underside of the cover as I put it on. Everything stayed tight, the cover has never come off, and not a drop of rain has gotten inside. Great product for the money!

Pedal Boat Cover
This cover is okay but I have one caveat. I purchased this cover to keep rainwater out of the boat. But now when it rains the water collects on top of the cover which then slips down into the seat indentations. When you try to take the cover off, it is impossible to keep the water from spilling into the boat. This defeats the whole purpose. However, I solved the problem. I purchased several cheap beach balls and put one in each seat indentation before putting the cover on. The balls hold the cover up and keep it from sinking down into the seat holes. This works pretty well and does keep the rain water out.

Convenient
This cover works pretty good to keep the water out when it rains.If it is left out very long, water does get in the boat, some, but not like if I had nothing on it.It protects it from the sun, too. Good item for the money. Fairly easy to get on and off.Update-this is the second season I am using this cover. Now, the rain goes right through it intothe boat. I did not see any water on the outside and thought that it worked, but when I pulledthe cover off-wow-the front seats on my 5 seat pedal boat were full. I ordered the Attwoodsbattery operated pump and am washing my cover with a little car wax and will spray it with awater repellent I got at Walmart by the shoes. I will see if it will start to repel water again.The fit is very good still-I have a KL Industries 5 seat pedal boat(with unadjustable seats).

Great little boat!!
Found this at a retailer, but same pedal boat. I love it! Very easy to pedal. Very light to actually pick up andmove to the house. Feels very sturdy in spite of light weight.Plenty of room for at least 3 large adults (me and 2 grown sons had a blast!) 5 person would probably include a couple of small children.The canopy that came on mine was a life saver, though. Made it very comfortable to ride in the middle of a 90 deg. day. Great fun on our small lake.

This fishing raft got us through class IV rapids with no major problems.
Obviously the designers did not build this for whitewater, but if it can hold up to that - for the price, it is outstanding. We had it loaded with camping gear, food, and three people for 4 days, and it didn't even loose air. It will sit three comfortably. 5 is a stretch unless you are VERY comfortable with each other. Weight is no issue. This boat was filled to the brim with water several times and still skidded through shallow water. A pit stop to let the water out and we were cruising again. At one point, the raft was lashed against a rock and turned into the shape of a taco by the raging waters. I was sure it would break, but it didn't!pros:*The oars come in 4 parts that snap and screw together. Assembly is easy. The oar locks work well and allow one person to use two oars.*The seats are comfy. Wow, for the price, the quality is unbeatable!!
Note that I haven't used the boat yet in the water, we will be using it the following weekend and I will update my review in a couple of weeks after we actually use it. But I wanted to rant and rave about the boat nevertheless since it didn't have any other reviews, so I was a bit hesitant about ordering it. DON'T BE.This boat is excellent quality, the plastic is very thick and durable looking, and it has excellent features to it. First off, the thing is HUGE. It measures 12' by 5' approximately, and it has PLENTY of room for four adults, or like us, 2 adults and 5 little ones. The weight limit is high as well, I've seen it listed at 880 pounds but it says 1000 on the box. It has easy instructions in spite of all the bells and whistles it has. I highly suggest ordering a Coleman quick-pump to pump it up, it is well worth it and I can't imagine blowing it up with the pump they provide, this thing TAKES A LOT OF AIR. Good size, comfortable, but rowing is horrible & questionable durability
I debated long and hard between getting the Excursion 5 and the Seahawk II. I wanted a boat that I could immediately take out and go rowing, but one that is durable (sometimes there are branches sticking up in the shallow river here) and comfortable. I also wanted to get a boat that I could eventually mount a motor on in the future.After reading tons of reviews -- and going to the Intex website and other forums -- I bought the Excursion 5 because some forums said the Seahawk II doesn't have motor mount points (this is not true) and some people on here commented that the Excursion 5 is made out of the same "Super-Tough" material as the Seahawk II (this is also not true, but it's very confusing and even the Intex website doesn't make it clear. The Seahawk II is more rigid, can be inflated to higher pressure, and is more puncture-resistant because it is actually a 3-ply system including Super-Tough PVC OVER a nylon fabric layer)As soon as the Excursion 5...

I paddled this boat 3 miles in rough water
I went camping recently up in Priest Lake Idaho. I was looking for something to do so I bought this boat, not really realizing that it was a children's toy. I'm 6'3" so it looks pretty funny when I get in this thing. Everyone thought it was hilarious, it was worth the price just to see my mother laugh so hard. Anyway, I ended up paddling this toy roughly 3 miles through rough water and against the wind and this little boat hung in there. I thought the rubber oar loops were going to rip out from the intense rowing but they never did. I went on to beat it up the next day rowing from one ilsand to the shore and it still held up. I got pulled over by the water sheriff too, he thought it was funny as well.Bottom line, this is a strong little rubber raft. I rowed this thing around until I couldn't life my arms.

Great product. We had a smaller one that last over a year of the kids jumping and playing on it - which is great for our house. This model is larger and even comes with paddles and a pump. I didn't expect that - I was just replacing another one....you can't beat it.
