So many horrible reviews for a cheap grill...
I bought this grill elsewhere for 80 bucks and the only thing that I can say is that it is a great grill for 80 bucks. Assembly instructions were clear enough for me to follow and not make any mistakes. I do agree that it took a good chunk of time to put together, but for 80 dollars, what do you expect?I understand the low star rating for the customer(s) that did not receive all of the parts for their grill (my grill came with all noted parts). What I can't understand is people complaining about a grill this cheap that does what it is supposed to do. If you don't want to assemble a grill (or if you can't read instructions), don't buy the grill online. Did you expect it to be assembled and delivered to your back porch? There are plenty of stores that you can go to and buy a pre-assembled grill. If your expecting the highest quality grill for 80 dollars, then you have another problem altogether.This grill is perfect for my situation, as we live in a 2 bedroom...

Great Value
I had a CharBroil unit before this one that lasted me fifteen years, so I thought I'd try another. This is a great little unit. It is a little wider than my previous unit, but significantly deeper. The internal design, with its rounded heating container, foil over the burners and larger grill surface make for more even heat distribution and smoother cooking. The plastic side shelves are much less likely to warp the way the cedar ones on my previous unit did and the utensil hangers on them are very convenient. Its push button lighter works like a charm and the match holder on a chain that comes with the unit is a nice accessory. All the listed parts came with it, but you have to read the assembly manual VERY carefully to avoid having to go back and do things over as it is not intuitive at all. The only real neagtive about this unit is the assembly time. The 45 minutes listed in the manual is ridiculous. Only someone who is very mechanically inclined AND has done it before...

It is worth the price
Bought it at a general store for 80 bucks. Afte reading all the reviews here, we were very suspicious about the assembly. So we started very carefully and took stock of all the parts after opening the box. Surprisingly all the parts were there and none was missing. It took me and my wife about 2 hrs to assemble. But the instructions in the booklet were clear and they had very properly marked all the screws which was really helpful.Did our first barbecue yesterday evening and turn out to be good.Cooking area is good for 4-5 people.

the absolute BEST grill for the money!
I am a grill fanatic so when it was time to pick out a new one, research was a borderline obsession of mine. I settled on this IR grill from Char-Broil.The major, most important thing to consider about this grill is that it cooks much more quickly than your standard LP grills and is a lot more like charcoal in that sense. You need to "relearn" grilling times to an extent but once you do, you'll have the best grilled foods you could possibly imagine! Still working great after a year
Had this grill for a year so far and I wanna address some points people brought up:"Cleaning it is a pain" - Not really. In fact, it's pretty easy since the grates come off and the infrared panels come out too. I clean it after every use and is very easy. I could see it becoming a pain if you: use lots of sweet/syrupy sauces and NEVER clean it. Then yes, things could get crusty. If you don't have time to clean it after EVERY use, just leave it on high heat for about 10 min after cooking and all the crud brushes off pretty easily."It Rusts" - Still no problem here. If you don't clean it, let it sit in the rain, and never treat the grates, yes, you will get rust just like every grill. If you take care of the grates by wiping them/spraying them with vegetable oil after every other use, they will hold up just fine. Same with the infrared panels. Very Good Gas Grill
This is Char Broil's entry level model of gas grills. I've seen reviews for this grill that went from Garbage to Great. I've used it for about a month and I think it's very good for the price.It has four burners so you can adjust your heat (using one, two, three or four burners) easily. I found that using just the two center burners on low works best for me. I also like that fact what the grills are close together so meat can't fall down into the fire box. I read one review that said they had that problem with it, but I tried to put a frozen patty between the grills and it's just not happenin'. They must have had really thin meat! The electronic igniter is also a good feature. But I'm sure like all gas grills, this will go out first.The burners as well as the fire box are stainless steel so they will last longer that other metals. You should still cover it up during the winter months.

Almost great
The only disappointment with this grill is that the grease tray area is not removable like my previous Charbroil grill. My previous grill had an entire tray with a grease collector that also slid out of that assembly. It made for really easy cleaning. I'm wondering how I'm going to clean this one without removing all of the burners. Except for that this grill is a great bargain. The stainless steel burners are so efficient I have to cook with them turned down to almost off. Really can't go wrong with this deal from Amazon. I saved over $30 on this deal as compared to where I almost ordered it at Sportsman's Guide.

Just what we wanted!
The only issue we have had so far with the grill is that it came in damaged. We didn't realize the full extent of the damage until it was already completely assembled. The parts were bent but we bent them back with pliers but the big issue was that the igniter button had to be put back together and that part of the grill is bent in so hopefully it will still work. Otherwise it is an awesome looking grill! I will put up an update if the grill will not ignite due to the shipping damage.Update!The grill works like a dream despite the cosmetic issues. This is a great grill for the price! It works very well and lives up to my high standards after owning a Weber grill!

I had a good experience.
I have read other reviews and took the risk on this BBQ pit and it was cheap and able to be shipped to my APO address in Australia. It came here fast since the Amazon prime and the packaging was in good shape, I opened the box and only found 2 minor bends and it was only on the side of the black front piece. It was very fixable with pliers or a hammer. Everything came together easy and fast. I can't believe how awesome this turned out to be. my husband loves to have a temp gauge on his pits and this has one. The side burner is nice and simple. I would recommend this to others that live near me since the pits over here are at least $300 for something with low quality. Thank goodness for Amazon!

Been waiting for awhile to find a good deal on this, but Amazon's got the best price with shipping you are going to find. $0.01, doesn't get much better than that. What surprised the heck out of me was ordering early Thursday morning and finding at my doorstep Friday before noon. FedEx overnight, somebody loves me. This was supposed to ship ground.I've bought a Weber Q several years ago, so I already know what the fuss is about. Great Grill!!
Originally planned on gettin' the Weber Summit S-320 but at $980 (the cost of livin' in paradise), it was pricey enough to give pause. Decided on the Q 300 when I realized that I would only be cookin' for a dozen at most. Locally, the Q 300 was priced at $377. When I discovered that Amazon had the upgraded 300 series for $18 less, I jumped at the opportunity. And $0.01 shipping - 2 day FedEx no less - made it a sweeter deal.This compact grill heats faster and cooks better than any $300 big box model, even if said model is rated at > 40,000 btu and the Q 320 is "only" 21,700 btu. Sears steaks and veges like no one's business and also does great roasting with the burners turned down. A snap to assemble (no cussing required) and also pleasing to the eye.If you're looking for your 1st grill, get the Q 320. If you're looking for a replacement grill, get the Q 320. If don't need a grill but have $359.01 lying around, get the Q 320.

Better version of the Q300
I just received my grill so this is not a performance review. For a performance review, check out the many positive reviews on the Q300 model. When I was reading the reviews on the Q300, people loved it. But a few mentioned that they would like a warming shelf, electronic ignition, or light. The great thing about Weber is that they quickly responded by adding those features to the Q320. I liked what I heard about the Q300, so with the improvements, I decided to move up. I put it together in about an hour using the easy to follow instructions. I look forward to a great grilling experience when the weather gets a little warmer. An update: I have now used the grill a few times and it is as good as others have reported the Q300 to be. I really like the electronic ignition. Turn on the gas, push the button, click, click, and you're in business. It heats up fast and leaves great grill marks. I also like the grill cover. Good grill IF you mind a few common sense tips.
I am a died in the wool griller and Weber guy. We currently have three grills around the house; a horizontal smoker/charcoal grill, a Weber gas Silver C gas grill (10 years old, the best!!) and the Coleman Roadtrip. I bought this grill because I get stuck doing the cooking at other friends and relatives and always had to load up the Weber. This Roadtrip is the cat's meow for this type of grilling road show.I was going to get a Weber Q but it doesn't have the cart, at least not at a sub $200 pricepoint. This grill does the job and then some. I used the grill five times in the last two weeks, trying different approaches and methods, and have come up with a few tips and tricks to make the grill work it's best. Please note that this grill is one of the best I have ever used and certainly better than the majority of gas grills I have used. It's no Weber, but then, it ain't 500 bucks either. So, on with the tips.1. The burner has a "low" to "high" settings...

Versatility in an outdoor grill
I've actually owned the Coleman Road Trip LXE Grill for several months and have had it stored in my travel trailer, just waiting for the opportunity to use it while traveling. However, my daughter and her husband had the idea to "rough it" camp at Edison Lake in the high Sierras of California.Robert Recupito wrote an insightful review of the Coleman Road Trip LXE Grill on July 9, 2006. I echo much of what he reported in his use of the LXE grill.Our experience was limited to two days and nights of varied cooking. The first experience was grilling polish dogs for lunch. The dogs fit perfectly in the grill's grooves and were cooked very evenly through and through with the lid closed. That evening I cooked two tri-tip roasts. I love this grill!
My wife and I wanted a new grill for tailgating at Miami Dolphins games this year. I am somewhat of a home gourmet and I am extremely particular of my cooking accouterments. After reading countless reviews on many different sites we narrowed it down to the Weber Q and the Coleman Roadtrip LXE. We went to Outdoor World here in Fort Lauderdale and actually looked at both as they had floor models available. We chose the Roadtrip based on it's modular ease of set-up and take down (I've never seen anything easier), the high 20,000 BTU output and the dual burner set-up, none of which the Weber Q had unless you purchased the top of the line Weber which was more than double the price in order to get dual burners and the higher BTU's.
