Best FM transmitter (has shuffle feature also)
I bought this last month. I am very satisfied with this FM transmitter. Works great for me.Today I figured that this also has shuffle repeat or all repeat functionality as well. If you press and hold the play/pause button (on the device and not the remote) for few seconds then it will toggle between "shuffle repeat" mode and "repeat all" mode. On LCD display you will see "<repeat arrow>A" for repeat all mode and "<repeat arrow>S") for shuffle mode.Also if you press and hold on next button for few seconds then it will increase the volume.Hope this helps. I would definitely recommend this.

Pretty Good
I just bought this FM transmitter. The Remote did not work. But, the seller replaced it quickly.If I plug my mp3 player using the AUX, it has a little bit of noise (very little high pitch noise).If I plug in my jump drive, the noise is gone. I think that it might have to do with the AUX cable.But, it works great with my jump drive. Actually, it's better to use jump drive cause I don't have to turn off my mp3 player and hide it in the glove box.I have not tried with a memory card yet.The sound quality is OK. My requirement is as long as it does not have those high pitch / white noise.One thing is it cannot navigate through folders. But, I can choose which song I want to listen to by punching the number on the remote. So, it's not so bad.The FM transmitter remembers which song I was listenning to. So, I don't have to start over. Excellent Transmission for the Coby-745
The Coby-745 is in my opinion, the all-around best buy in the wireless FM car transmitter market. At $17.99 on Amazon, it is roughly half the price of most of it's competitors, but what's amazing is that it provides additional features! The cap on the built in car charger flips off to reveal a spot for another charging plug (like for a cell phone for example). The springs hold the device in tightly while in use and the charger unit is hinged to the transmitter, providing for a 360 degree+ rotation of the unit. The light up screen in blue shows the full frequency channels you can select from with the lighted dial, in increments of 0.1 MHz.This unit doesn't just look pretty and have nice features, it also performs extremely well. On a 40 minute commute through back roads, highway and city, the unit didn't lose signal once and I heard ZERO interference, yes, that's right, none! Compare that to other reviews.Downsides? Very pleased, after doing TONS of research
Right off, the price. If I paid double or even triple and it performed as it does, I would have been satisfied. FM transmitters by definition are supposed to be the last resort for sending audio through car speakers from a portable device, given their many potential downfalls. But I've used the Coby CA-745 daily for over two months now and I couldn't be happier. I even made sure to wait this long before posting a review, in case it worked well but broke quickly.A few major points to consider regarding this model: first, this is not an iPod-charging device. For me, that was OK. Everything I plug my iPod into at home charges it, so I was purposely looking for a transmitter that would fit the iPod's 3.5mm headphone jack.Second, it allows for selection among the full FM frequency band including the almost-never-taken 87.9. I set it there on Day 1 and never changed it. But it's nice to know that I am not limited to four preset tunings if I need to change it...

Best transmitter I've owned!
I have gone through four of these types of FM Transmitters. One was powered by the iPod. I don't recommend that type as it sucks your battery dry quickly. The one I am replacing this time worked alright, but was bulky and finally stopped working correctly. I was happy when I plugged this one in and effortlessly synced FM stations and got CD quality sound. Another nice feature is that you don't have to switch it on. When it is plugged in it is live when the radio is tuned to that station and does not affect any other stations if you are listening or scanning other stations. The only thing I wish someone would add is a bit of amplification. Every transmitter I've used requires you to turn your iPod volume up almost all the way and then you still have to turn your stereo volume up much higher than normal. Obviously, if you forget to adjust both volumes down before using either next time, you will blast your eardrums or speakers.

Why Sound Fly? Who is Satechi?
I ordered this curious thing online to solve one of my most insane driving frustrations, ADVERTISING! Instead of corporate tripe interrupting my peace of mind every few songs, I set my home PC to record choice streams for hours on end all night and save them on my SD card. Who hoo! For less than the cost of a new radio for 3 vehicles, and without the hassle of carting around a bunch of CD's life is good!The sound fly works like it should, like you'd expect and it's really simple, intuitive. I can play MP3's off my cell phone with the little adapter cable they include. The plug in unit is flexible for easy visibility, though the only drawback might be the red LED display is washed out in bright direct sunlight. I find this a very fair trade off for the ease of visibility at night. What a great FM transmitter.
I've had an VR3 FM USB Car Transmitter for two years. It had no remote unlike the Soundfly, but I loved using it. However, there were things that I found mostfrustrating when using it and I didn't realise this until after I'd purchased it.VR3 MP3 Player FM Transmitter frustrations:1) It wouldn't remember where I last was listening to.2) I couldn't fast forward nor rewind. Arrgh! You could only skip between tracks. This was frustrating because I have a habit of rewinding to listen to parts of my audio tracks again and again and of course I can't fast forward through averts. I bought this unit with a specific purpose in mind using the RDS functionality. I just recieved this unit yesterday and it is pretty impressive considering the low costs and RDS functionality.1. Sound - This is tricky. The sound is good using USB and SD cards as your source. However, the sound is great when you use the Analog input(2.5mm input I would have expected the sound to be better with USB/SD cards. Best FM transmitter for my HTC Evo
When I got the HTC Evo back at the beginning of June I just went to Wal Mart and picked up an FM transmitter there for 50 dollars, but it would only transmit to the radio but not charge the phone. For anyone who has an Evo, you know that the battery life is not good. Plus it had a so much excess wiring. I returned it and bought this off of amazon and it is amazing. It paired within 10 seconds and transmits with barely noticeable no static, transmits far better than the 50 dollar thing I got from Wal-Mart or the FM transmitter I had for my iphone. Okay, so maybe everybody knows this, but this isn't just for the Android phone-- it's compatible with the iPhone 4 as well. I bought this as a temporary solution to no auxiliary plug on my stock Saturn radio. I wasn't expecting much, for the cost and being a radio transmitter.However, I was pleasantly surprised. Simply does what it's supposed to do..
I ordered this FM transmitter for my iPhone 16GB 3G on a whim.. I had no really high expectations because of the low price, which is how I typically approach items like this.. It arrived rather quickly in a plain white box.. So, maybe they saved some money on packaging.. I immediately took the unit to my car, plugged it in, dropped the iPhone into the base and cranked it up.. I had some pretty bad static at first, but then while toying with the 3.5mm stereo cable that comes with it, found that you don't even need to use the stereo cable!! Once I ditched the 3.5mm cable, the sound was crisp and clear.. According to the instructions, there should be an LED on the actual lighter plug when the unit is plugged in and working, but mine doesn't work.. I couldn't care less about that, because the unit does exactly what it's supposed to do, and I no longer have to worry about burning CDs so I can jam while I'm zipping down I-95 at 95mph.. Heheh.. Could work well, but frustrating
The sound quality is pretty good, but not as good as an auxiliary connection of course. If your car does not have any way to install an aux connection, like mine, this product is great. My only complaint is that my car charger input is horizontal, and the weight of this device sometimes pulls the connection apart when I hit any kind of bump, this resets the station to 88.1FM, so I got in the habit of leaving my radio tuned to 88.1FM even when there is interference. Also this disconnection causes the song to restart. I started resting the device on my shifter, (I have an automatic trans so its not too much of a problem) and this somewhat solved the issue. Also my remote never worked even if I change the battery, not that I ever would use it though.

It has some ups and down.
I have tried several differant options over the years to listen to my iPod while I'm driving. Realisiticaly, I should just buy a new car that has an iPod ready radio (the new Camaro looks sweet). This product works well; with the exceptions being that you do get some background static, you have to change the frequency settings every once in a while. Finally the upside. It does work as well as any FM transmitter out there. Another big upside is the fact that your iPod will remain fully charged no matter how many hours you will be rolling on the highway. If you want the best product out there Audiovox makes a product that hooks up to the back of your radio, and with the flip of a switch it blocks out all other FM frequencies so that your iPod doesn't get the static.
