If you enjoyed Anchorman and Dodgeball, you will love this!
The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard bombed hard at the box office this August for reasons I have yet to figure out. My wife and I expected nothing from this movie, and with the bar set so low we were astonished at just how gut-bustingly funny it was from start to finish. Jeremy Piven--so annoying is just about everything he has ever been in--finds a perfect groove in Don Ready, a used-car hustler who needs to impose his will on reluctant consumers the way the rest of need to breathe. He takes an almost prurient pleasure in these conquests which, by itself, would have been funny enough. The fact that he is joined by a team of similarly unscrupulous cohorts lets the movie maintain a comedic momentum which never lets up--start to finish. Ready and his gang (Kathryn Hahn and Ving Rhames, among others) are flown to Josh Brolin's car lot to spur enough sales for Brolin to keep his business from being taken over by...wait for it...Alan Thicke and Ed Helms. I have always maintained that...

A WILL FERRELL MOVIE WITH NOT MUCH FERRELL
Adolescent humor-yes. Bad jokes-yes. Gratuitous nudity-yes. But it all seems to work, perhaps because Will Ferrell didn't star in this Will Ferrell movie. He did manage a small role, which he typically smelled up. The movie is based on an occupation I don't believe exists, which is a crack team of migrant expert car sellers. They get the call to save a dealership. The movie has some laugh out loud lines like DJ Request saying, "Nobody tells DJ Request what to play." Or "Did you ever have a relationship last longer than a lap dance?" Besides the smelly scene with Will Ferrell, Ed Helms was fairly bad. I loved Ed on the Daily Show, but face it, he can't act. Rob Riggle did a good job as a 10 year old. The movie moves along smartly through the first day of sales after which the plot suddenly changes direction. Piven seriously examines his life, the car dealership is being sold, etc etc. At this point the movie goes down hill. This was supposed to be a senseless comedy about selling cars,...

;0)
Ithis movie is silly at times that you still can't help but watch. I love Jeremy Piven's humor in movies like this, I like seeing David Koechner and the gang. It had some good apperance from other actors as well. Good movie to sit and watch. If you like moves such as Old School, The Hangover, Couples Retreat then I think you might like this movie.

A valuable resource
The section titled Marketing in the Digital World with its "59 EBook marketing tips" was enough to make the whole book well worth the read. I've written several books, all self-published and one a genuine best-seller, so I was a little surprised that I found 14 tips among the 59 that promise to be mighty helpful. And I predict most readers with an ebook to sell will find even more of value between these covers, just as I did.

Just What I Was Looking For
The Amazon Kindle has made it so much easier for an author to self-publish their book. , by Kate Harper, provides helpful information about how to publish an article on the Kindle. Many of these tips are also applicable for publishing on the Barnes and Noble Nook and for Amazon "Singles" (short books ranging from 30-90 pages long). This is a 43-page article for beginners on how to publish and sell short documents for the Amazon Kindle, such as magazine articles or instructional materials. An article is considered a written piece between 3,000 and 30,000 words. Ms. Harper has learned that a writer does not have to publish an entire book in order to receive royalties from their work. She believes articles are the new secret "sweet spot" of the e-Reader...

To the Point and Specific
I bought this article because the price was right, and frankly it had more value than some books for which I've paid several times more. If you want to get straight to the how-to and avoid fluff, this is a great place to start. I'm confident that everything I need to know about getting my articles up for sale is included in these very specific instructions. Can't wait to try it out with my own articles and booklets!

Buy the correct stylus
This review has stirred interest beyond the value of said stylus. These are inexpensive, ok, cheap, stylus. I bought them to test on a cheap tablet I was testing and they worked very good. If they are lost, stolen or eaten by Fido, who cares. We are talking about bang for the buck here. And yes, they are made across the big pond.If you need status, spend the big bucks, but don't cry if it goes missing. It could be hiding next to that missing $200.00 remote.Better yet, make one yourself, it's a fun and interesting project. Brings out that MacGyver rush from the 80's.There are three (3) types of touch screens, buy the correct stylus for your...

Great for pointing, not for drawing
These stylus are very well made and work very well, if all you want to do is find an alternative to pressing the onscreen keyboard. However, these stylus are totally useless for use with a drawing program because the rubber tip will not glide across the screen. If you use your iPhone outdoors and you are wearing gloves, these stylus are for you. If you want to draw, then you'd be better off with a stylus with a soft foam tip.

First it was eBay, then it was Amazon, and now Weber has written a valuable start up guide for Etsy.
I loved it. The author is an authority when it comes to retail selling online through portal Web sites. He started with eBay, then moved on to Amazon, and now he's tackling Etsy that caters to people who previously sold in a big way through local craft fairs. Etsy enables its artisan shop owners to sell to customers worldwide. It doesn't cost too much to register and use the Etsy site, but don't expect to make a killing in profits either.
