Good quality and value
These are a fantastic alternative to traditional clamps. I got these pipe clamps as I do not have any long clamps, and for around $10 I can go to the local hardware store and buy a pipe of whatever length I need for my particular project. Shopping around, I could see there were many clamp sets with varying lengths and long clamps which were fairly expensive. Only needing 4 clamps max for any particular project, I have no need to own a dozen different clamps (not to mention that many of these sets are several hundred dollars). Instead, I got a pair of these, and then went down to the hardware store and bought pipes of different sizes.Pros:* Powder coated paint will hold up* Smooth rotation on the clamp* Incredibly cheap compared to alternativesCons:* Zinc clutch components seem to float around quite a bit making (does not affect use once pipe is installed, minor complaint)* Zinc clutch could also grip the pipe with a...

Great
Was completely satisfied with the product. Will probably acquire additional clamps in the near future. The clamps are well made and the design is well thought out for the woodworker. Amazon did a great job also.

Bessey Pipe Clamps - Good but could be better
These pipe clamps are great. Clamping pressure is excellent, and will close difficult joints easily. Compared to Besseys "F" style bar clamps, these pipe clamps produce much more force. It is easy to crank the handle and it doesn't hurt my hands - unlike the F style clamps with small wooden handles. The tall base is a nice touch which keeps you from banging your knuckles when gluing up panels. This feature makes it easier to stagger clamps above and below the panel to keep everything flat. The jaws are padded, and stay in place better than Bessey's F style pads (see caveat below). To build a 36" clamp costs $20, which is half of what parallel clamps cost.Cons: 1. The lever that releases the clamp should be longer, more ergonomic, and perhaps coated in rubber. 2. The jaw pads leave oily marks on your wood. They do sand off easily, however Bessey should improve this part of their clamps. I feel like this issue will resolve, as it is probably just a...
